I'm American but I lived in Japan for about 5 years. Studied in Tokyo briefly during 2006. Lived in Fukushima Prefecture from summer 2007 to summer 2010. Yes, that means I wasn't there for the big earthquake. I went back to Japan again and lived in Gifu Prefecture from spring 2011 to spring 2013. All 5 years spent working in Japan were as an ALT.

Since October of 2013 I work as office administrative staff in the auto manufacturing industry. Specifically, I work in the corporate headquarters of the North American branch of a Japanese company. I work in Quality and Safety. I'm in charge of document control, the company intranet site, the quality newsletter, and I'm the window person for loads of other things. I also translate technical documents, speeches, and emails. This year I'm hoping to learn more practical and theoretical knowledge through auditing various processes.

I am a Christian. I am writing a novel. I like gaudy things.

I speak Japanese but I don't use it in my journal too often. Mostly just because it's mendokusai (a hassle) if I have to translate it (>.<). I even made a Japanese journal but it was mendokusai to write in it (T^T) tho I do have a handwritten Japanese diary I sometimes use.
I don't take my LJ too seriously as I use it as a personal journal. I write about my daily life and my thoughts.

If you add me as a friend, please let me know, or comment on my journal, otherwise I will probably not add you back. I am on LJ to make friends, not stalkers!! I'm cool with adding people from pretty much any country as long as you understand English or Japanese, since those are the only two languages I understand.
